Roles & Responsibilities
- This role is responsible for reconciling prepaid product settlements from regional selling partners, as well as out-of-balance situations and exceptions.
- Assuring that general ledger/sub ledger reconciliations are completed in accordance with Recon policy.
- Oracle/IRIS and Amex tools are well-versed.
- Is responsible for all aspects of the settlement exception resolution process for items assigned to the regional operations department, including analyzing exception causes, identifying exceptions trends and overall customer group positions, identifying and implementing problem resolutions, minimizing any write off losses due to unresolved exceptions on seller accounts, collecting on funds due American Express for settlement, and reconciling exceptions.
- Collect the funds due to American Express and resolve the exceptions by following up with key linkages and sellers.
- Selling partners receive customer support assistance for inventory control, bank account information, settlement questions/issues, and a variety of additional services.
- Ascertain that the reconciliation is done in accordance with the SOX criteria.
- Assist in the correct and timely processing of sales settlements in accordance with SLAs.
- Perform root cause analysis for a variety of exceptions and aid in resolving and fixing the issues.
- A thorough understanding of computers, including Microsoft Office (word, excel), Access, Outlook, and Windows. To access internet-based apps, you must be able to browse effectively on the internet and/or intranet.
- High levels of confidence in their ability to deal with global banking and financial institutions on their own.
- Internal and external customers require strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to function in a team situation with a varied group of people.
- It is preferable if you are familiar with banking procedures and terminology.
- For self-directed work and progress, initiative and empowerment are essential.
- To deliver exceptional customer service and ensure departmental and corporate goals are met, you must be able to fulfil deadlines.
- Workload prioritisation and organisation skills are strong.
Eligibility
- Minimum commerce Graduate with minimum 1- 3 years of experience.
- Minimum a B.com/MBA with relevant accounting & finance experience.
- Ability to balance need to achieve customer satisfaction and need for risk management.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities, including root-cause analysis and solution execution.
- Ability to operate in a multi-tasking and diversified setting.
- Must be versatile in a continually changing environment where processes and priorities vary.
- Should be well-organized and focused on ensuring that processes run well, with a great eye for detail and a strong commitment to controls, compliance, and customer service.
- Ability to swiftly and properly absorb and process information in order to provide excellent customer service and first-contact resolutions.
