Roles & Responsibilities

  • To establish the proper disposal of balances, consult with IBD bankers, industry CFOs, business unit leaders, and business unit managers.
  • Examine advisory/financing transactions at various phases of the lifecycle to see whether transaction costs may be recovered.
  • Assist IBD bankers in resolving financing-related charges with other syndicate banks.
  • Prepare invoices and expense runs for clients and co-managers.
  • Follow up on receivables that have been past due.
  • Obtain authorization and handle non-recoverable expenditure write-offs.
  • Work closely with the firm’s controllers to verify that fees are properly recorded in the books and records.
  • Breaks in the firm’s syndicate sub-ledger and general ledger, as well as breaks in the IBD system flow, must all be reconciled.
  • Both IBD and non-IBD syndicate accounts should be monitored for opening and closure.
  • Post IBD receivable balances and reserves to the general ledger at the end of each month.
  • Continuous improvement of tactical and strategic expenditure management methods.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Approach is mature, and communication abilities are persuasive.
  • Adaptability to change and new difficulties.
  • Organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and extensively with people at all levels (from entry-level analysts through managing directors).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Awareness of risk and control, as well as expertise in taking responsibility on a local and global scale.
  • Ability to think critically.
