Roles & Responsibilities
- To impact business decisions on agreement structures, operationalization, and returns, review and analyse commercial partnership agreements and new business prospects.
- Create a platform for strategic decision-making by designing, developing, and reporting on Key Performance Indicators to monitor the performance of commercial agreements and operations.
- Create financial estimates for Google Pay on a monthly, yearly, and long-term basis.
- Provide analytical insight and affect profit and loss optimization, user/merchant acquisition and retention investment efficacy, and risk mitigation decisions.
- Design, create, and improve the financial infrastructure required to run day-to-day operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or comparable practical experience in Business, Economics, Finance, or a similar quantitative discipline is required.
- 5 years of relevant work experience in finance, management consulting, corporate strategy, business intelligence, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Flexibility to adapt to new approaches/thinking in a quickly changing environment; experience with early stage product development.
- Experience with financial planning and modelling in the payments or technology industries.
- Excel spreadsheets and ERP/forecasting systems are examples of financial data tools (SAP, etc.). An interest in learning SQL query and analytical techniques.
- Ability to act as a trusted intermediary between product and financial management.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic setting while cultivating cross-functional connections.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as knowledge of internal controls and risk management, are required.
