About the Internship
To assist accelerate our growing Professional Services business, Amazon Web Services is looking for extremely competent hands-on technical architects/developers. Professional Services works with clients and partners on a wide range of business-critical and global-scale projects, assisting them in making the most of the ever-evolving AWS platform. Our team works across AWS to provide access to product and support teams, ensure that the proper solution is delivered, and drive feature innovation based on customer demands.
Basic Qualifications
- A BS level technical degree or similar experience is required; a background in computer science or engineering is recommended. A master’s degree is preferred.
- 3.75+ GPA (or similar) (Transcript required)
- Side projects are encouraged if you have 1+ years of application programming and/or hands-on technical application architecture experience.
- Hands-on programming experience in one or more of the following areas: C++, Java, Node.js, Ruby, .NET, and Python.
- During internships, contribute full-time.
- Ability to travel to customer locations on a regular basis (50+%)
- Communication and presenting abilities are important.
- CET-6 English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience architecting, designing and programming applications in an AWS Cloud environment
- Experience architecting highly available systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability and high availability
- Designing and developing applications using container or serverless technologies is a plus.
- Knowledge working with dispersed development teams
- Strong practical application development experience on Linux and Windows-based systems
- Extra curricula software development passion (e.g. active open source contributor)
- TOEFL 100+ or IELTS 7.0+
