About TATA Trent

On December 5, 1952, the Company was first incorporated under the name Lakme Limited (-Lakme-). Lakme was a manufacturer, retailer, and exporter of toiletry, cosmetic, and fragrance items. Lakme made the decision to leave its cosmetics division in 1998 in order to focus on clothing selling. It was determined that Lakme would develop a chain of department shops across the nation in order to establish a significant position in the apparel and soft products retailing business.

In order to do this, Littlewoods International Limited, U.K., sold Littlewoods International (India) Private Limited (-LIIPL-) to Lakme in March 1998. Concurrently, Lakme Exports Limited, a Lakme subsidiary, merged with LIIPL on January 1, 1998, and the combined company was called Trent Limited. Following this, Lakme Limited changed its name to Trent Limited and Trent Limited amalgamated with Lakme on July 1, 1998.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Organizing employee documentation with the retailers
2. Assisting store staff with PF and ESIC electronic nominations
3. Assisting retailers in finishing HR-related hurdles
4. Assisting with screenings for hiring
