About India Post Payments Bank
India Post Payments Bank was set up by the Department of Post under the Ministry of Communication with 100% government equity & is running its business operations across the country through 650 dedicated branches & 1.40 lakh access points with the strength of 1.60 lakh GDS/postmen/postal assistants to serve its customers a wide variety of products and services. IPPB branches are situated mostly at Head Office locations of DOP and all other access points of the district are tagged to that IPPB branches.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Work on general banking operations
- Work on payments banking services
- Work on identifying potential market areas by survey
- Work on promoting mobile banking & VDC usage
- Work on understanding rural economy & placing demand of products
