Roles & Responsibilities
- Identifying various distribution channels/models in Indian retail and developing a distribution plan for scaling up a local manufacturing operation.
- Comparing distributor-led distribution models for various FMCG firms, such as hub-and-spoke, super/sub stockists, and so on.
- Gaining an understanding of leading FMCG businesses’ order capturing, delivery system, and demand generating processes.
- Developing a ROI model for distributors and finding important levers to improve profits.
- Identifying critical levers to increase distributor operations efficiency, particularly in terms of capturing outlet orders and N+1 delivery.
- Determining the levers that will drive business growth through various channels such as wholesale, retail, and so on.
- Comparing organised retail formats such as contemporary trade retail, cash & carry, and eCommerce
- Through consumer/customer interactions, learn about the shopper characteristics, triggers, and hurdles to buying through different channels.
- Recognizing structured retail shop operations and company models (C&C, modern trade retail)
- Recognize future-fit models, such as hyperlocal models and aggregators.
- Creating a scale-up plan for a local manufacturing unit that will allow it to expand operations and distribution throughout five or more states.
- Determining the best distribution model, as well as the most cost-effective cost structure and expansion strategy.
