Sunder Singh Lyallpuri, the founder-father of the Akali movement and the Shiromani Akali Dal in Punjab Province, initiated and published the Hindustan Times, an Indian English-language daily newspaper, in 1924. It was a pro-Congress daily that played an important role in the Indian independence movement as a nationalist publication. Shobhana Bhartia is the owner of the newspaper. It is the flagship publication of HT Media, the KK Birla family’s holding company. Hindustan Times is one of India’s most widely circulated newspapers. As of November 2017, it had a circulation of 993,645 copies, according to the Audit Bureau of Circulations.
About The Internship
The digital arm of the HT group is HT Digital Streams. It employs over 2000 people across different departments such as digital content, product, analytics, distribution, and technology for brands such as HT.com, liveHindustan.com, livemint.com, and DesiMartini.com.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Working with Spring Boot Java 8 and MySQL to design and develop web applications
2. Integrating back-end services with Angular 8 based frontend needs
3. Working with the team to manage, optimize and customize web application
