The headquarters of the American aviation engine provider General Electric Company, operating under the name GE Aerospace, are located in Evendale, Ohio, just outside of Cincinnati. Job Description
- Analysis and Simulation: Support the analysis and simulation of electrical and electromechanical systems for the propulsion and power distribution systems of aircraft.
- Support the design and development of power converters for applications requiring greater electricity and hybrid power.
- Embedded Controls: Assist in the creation and evaluation of embedded controls by utilizing microcontrollers and FPGA.
- Engage in the development of high-frequency resonant converters for use in aircraft by contributing to their innovation.
- Research and Presentation: Participate in research projects and help with drafting and presenting results to technical meetings and internal teams.
- Cooperation: To accomplish project objectives and provide excellent results, cooperate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Project Support: Help lead technical projects to completion by making sure deadlines and quality requirements are fulfilled.
Qualifications
- Presently working on a B.Tech in electrical engineering or a similar discipline. Should get a college NOC in order to undertake a summer internship.
- Basic knowledge of control and power electronics
- Familiarity with building power circuits and systems, hardware design, and PCB design.
- Exposure to tools for simulating circuits and systems, including PLECS and Matlab/Simulink.
- Fundamental programming abilities, ideally with FPGA/Microcontroller systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Basic knowledge of Python programming
- Outstanding teamwork and communication skills.
- Eagerness to pick things up and adjust to a fast-paced setting. A desire to learn
