About Bharat Petroleum (BPCL)
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) is an oil and gas company controlled by the Indian government. It is owned by the Government of India’s Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, which is based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. In Kochi and Mumbai, it runs two major refineries.
It was rated 309th on Fortune’s list of the world’s largest businesses in 2020, and 792nd on Forbes’ “Global 2000” list in 2021. It is India’s second-largest downstream oil company.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
A: Cateqorv – I Graduate Apprentices:
First Class Engineering Degree [Full Time Course] in the relevant subject with 60% marks from a recognised Indian University/Institute (Relaxed to 50% marks for SC/ST/PWD applicants and relaxation applicable exclusively for reserved positions).
B: Cateqorv – ll Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:
First Class Diploma in Engineering (Full-Time Course) in the relevant field from a State Board of Technical Education/recognized Indian University (Relaxed to 50% marks for SC/ST/PWD applicants and relaxation applicable exclusively for reserved positions).
AGE
As on August 1, 2021, you must be between the ages of 18 and 27. (DOB between 01.08.1994 to 01.08.2003). Relaxation for restricted category applicants in accordance with the norms.
DURATION OF TRAINING
Apprenticeship training shall last one year, as stipulated by the Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973.
PREVIOUS TRAINING / EXPERIENCE
Candidates with one year or more experience and/or who have completed or are presently completing an apprenticeship under the Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973 are not eligible to apply.
SELECTION PROCEDURE
Selection will be based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and interview. The final merit list would be prepared according to categorie General/ SC / ST I OBC I PWD on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates. Engagement for apprenticeship training will be subject to the selected candidates clearing the medical examination.
