Bata is the most popular footwear brand in India. Bata India, a subsidiary of the Bata Shoe Organization, is India’s largest retailer and top footwear producer. Bata Shoe Company Private Limited was established as a modest enterprise in Konnagar (near Calcutta) in 1932, and was incorporated in 1931 as Bata Shoe Company Private Limited. The foundation stone for Bata’s first structure, currently known as the Bata, was laid in January 1934. The whole property was increased in size in the years that followed. Batanagar is the name given to this township. It was also the first plant in the Indian shoe business to earn ISO: 9001 accreditation.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Keep trackers, logs, and dashboards for CSR data.
- Help with the creation of quarterly and monthly reports for leadership disclosures.
- Make that the data is submitted on time, accurately, and consistently.
- Research the global market for CSR and ESG best practices.
- To find opportunities for development, particularly to increase employee volunteerism at Bata Group, compare company initiatives to those of peers.
- Share your knowledge and suggest creative CSR project concepts.
- draft material for CSR reports, social media, and internal newsletters.
- Collaborate with Communications to showcase project updates and impact stories.
- Assistance in creating presentations for important parties.
- Help with the organization, logistics, and planning of CSR webinars, conferences, and events.
- Make post-event reports and document them.
Requirements
- Graduate or postgraduate degrees in development studies, business management, social work, sustainability, or social impact.
- Experience in the workplace would be beneficial.
- Strong analytical and research abilities, as well as a keen eye for detail.
- Outstanding communication skills, both in writing and speaking.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel (charts, pivot tables, formulae, etc.)
- adept with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); familiarity with analytics tools and digital dashboards is a plus.
- The capacity to handle several priorities and operate in a multicultural setting.
