Roles & Responsibilities
- Process analysis: Work with the supply chain team to identify and map the existing procedures for purchasing, inventory control, distribution, and transportation. Determine any obstacles, inefficiencies, or room for improvement.
- Data Gathering and Analysis: Compile pertinent data on lead times, transportation costs, inventory levels, supply chain procedures, and other pertinent metrics. Make use of analytical techniques to examine data and derive insightful conclusions
- Process optimization: Simplify supply chain operations by proposing and implementing process changes. These improvements could be made by implementing new technology, reengineering processes, or applying lean concepts.
- Collaboration: To implement process changes and guarantee alignment with overarching company objectives, work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, warehousing, and manufacturing.
- Continuous Improvement: Encourage the supply chain team to build a culture of continuous improvement. Encourage the exchange of best practices, and participate in continuing initiatives for improvement.
