- Determine the factors influencing the daily markets.

- Learn about the Platts Market on Close assessment methodology and show that you understand it.
- Learn about the commodity market by completing the foundational training and all allocated news training modules.
- In designated marketplaces, observe a seasoned price reporter in action.

Requirements
- Undergraduate or graduate students in their penultimate year of study who are fully matriculated. (Date of graduation: May 2026 at the latest)
- All degrees welcome: concentration in Journalism, Communications, Business, Marketing, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, or Energy related disciplines preferred.
- Excellent communication (clear, succinct writing, listening skills, and strong speaking abilities)
- Able to operate in a fast-paced setting, multitask, and pick things up quickly.
- Recognize the value of forming solid bonds and cooperating with teammates.
- The ability to solve problems, manage time, pay attention to details, and be organized in order to operate well with clients.
- The capacity for rapid learning and intellectual curiosity.
- Some familiarity with web technology (such as HTML) and social media
- Notable degree of familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
