About Saregama
The RP Sanjiv Goenka Group company Saregama India Limited is the oldest music label, youngest film studio, and provider of multilingual TV content in India. It produces movies under the Yoodlee Films brand and has the largest collection of music intellectual property in India, with over 130K songs in various languages. The digital music player Carvaan is also owned and sold by Saregama. Carvaan is the ideal fusion of digital technology and a vintage design element. With more than 20 films produced in the previous three years, Saregama’s Yoodlee Films is the youngest boutique film production studio in the nation. Saregama has produced more than 6,000 hours of programming for Sun TV over the past 20 years, and it currently airs three to four serials, generating 15 to 16 hours of content every week.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Test a variety of mobile hypercasual games on various hardware and operating systems (iOS and Android).
- Find and record technical problems, such as freezes, crashes, frame drops, music problems, user interface slowness, and performance snags.
- Report non-technical problems such as unclear user flows, inconsistent gameplay mechanics, and inadequate feedback cues.
- Give thorough input on how to balance the game.
- Assess the FTUE (first-time user experience).
- Examine difficulty growth and engagement loops.
- Use regression testing to retest resolved issues to confirm fixes
- Keep track of bug reports and work closely with product managers and developers.
- Test user behavior and robustness by simulating edge-case scenarios.
- Make suggestions for enhancements to improve the overall quality, satisfaction, and retention of the game.
Requirements
- An intense love for mobile games, particularly those that are extremely risky
- Meticulous with outstanding analytical and observational abilities
- Knowledge of various mobile devices, operating systems, and app ecosystems
- Strong documentation and communication abilities (knowledge of Trello, JIRA, and Notion is advantageous)
- The capacity to foresee real-world usage issues and think like an end user
- It helps to have a basic understanding of UI/UX, game economy, and gameplay cycles.
- Certifications from QA courses or prior testing experience are helpful.
