The Reserve Bank of India is inviting applications for a summer internship opportunity for the year 2022. These summer assignments allow domestic and international students to get experience in a real-world central banking setting. Here is everything that you need to know about this RBI Internship!
Role Description
The day-to-day tasks of selected interns include working on projects related to central bank issues with the help of specialists and professionals at the bank.
Qualifications
Students pursuing post-graduate courses or integrated five-year courses in management/statistics/law/commerce/economics/econometrics/banking/finance or three-year full-time professional bachelor’s degree in law from reputed institutions/colleges located in India can apply for summer placement during their penultimate year/semester.
Additional Information
Every year, the Bank will choose a maximum of 125 students for summer placement. The interview for the short-listed candidates will take place in November/December of each year at the offices specified above. Outstation candidates who are short-listed will be responsible for their own travel expenditures to and from the RBI office for this reason. In December/January, the names of chosen students will be notified to the institutes. Selected outstation applicants will be compensated for their AC II Tier/1st Class return rail fare from their institute to their summer placement location for completing the project.
Duration
Normally, the internship will last no more than three months and will take place between April and July. The Bank reserves the right to shorten or lengthen the time.
Perks
A monthly salary of 20,000/- is given to summer trainees. Outstation trainees will be responsible for arranging their own accommodations.
