About the Internship

In order to further the company’s goal, PayPal’s Government Relations and Policy team is committed to interacting with authorities and lawmakers around the world. In order to enable individuals, companies, and communities to prosper in the fast-paced digital economy, our team works to promote sustainable growth for communities while highlighting laws or policies that strike a balance between risk and innovation. To join our team in Mumbai, we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern in government relations. This position provides a stimulating chance to work directly on public policy research, analysis, and advocacy. As an intern, you will work directly with the legal, compliance, and government relations teams in South Asia and India to support projects that complement PayPal’s goals and vision.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Investigate and evaluate regulatory and public policy matters that are pertinent to PayPal.
  • Under the direction of senior team members, draft reports, memos, and policy papers.
  • Keep an eye on changes to laws and regulations pertaining to financial services and payments, and promptly update the team.
  • Help in creating communications materials for both internal and external use.
  • To learn more about policy issues, take part in conferences, workshops, and policy meetings.

Qualifications

  • Sraduates in any field, such as economics, political science, public policy, etc.
  • Year of graduation: 2023–2025
  • Strong analytical and research abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both in writing and speaking.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • The capacity to function both alone and together.
  • While not required, demonstrated skill in the Financial Services/Digital Payments industry is preferred.
