About National Highways Authority Of India
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is an autonomous government of India organisation that was established in 1995 (Act 1988) and is in charge of managing a network of over 50,000 km of National Highways out of a total of 1,32,499 km in India. It is a Ministry of Road Transport and Highways nodal agency. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for highway satellite mapping.
About the Program
Field experience in the building of civil engineering works, including as roads, bridges, flyovers, and underpasses, will be provided in Assam and Meghalaya. This person will have prior expertise in highway planning, design, construction, and maintenance. The candidate must visit the site and conduct a survey and investigation, as well as quality checks that include doing experiments in both the laboratory and the field, and studying DPRs, estimations, and alignments, among other things. The applicant should also go to the green field alignment parts, which are based on the research reports and traffic, as well as the need for cross drainage structures and pedestrian underpasses. The applicants have also been exposed to several regulatory frameworks, including approval from other departments such as Railways, IWAI, Forest and Environment.
