Responsibilities
Development Teams: Our development teams are responsible for designing, creating, and supporting applications that are utilised by the Firm’s business units. Meeting with clients to gather and evaluate requirements; making system design decisions; assessing, integrating, and creating essential software; and testing and delivering applications to production are just a few of the daily tasks. Developing high-performance, low-latency electronic trading systems across multiple asset classes, providing sophisticated risk management analytics and systems, and evolving complex workflows and life-cycle management capabilities across increasingly sophisticated products are just a few of the projects available to developers within our technical organisations.
Infrastructure Teams: To run our company, our infrastructure teams are creating cutting-edge solutions. Engineers offer trading apps, mobile applications, and other end-user applications with tools, programmes, and platforms such as the Firm’s networks, computer hardware, operating systems, and databases. The group delivers applications that cover the spectrum of the Firm’s clients in an effective way, working in small, dynamic teams. Infrastructure engineers in our businesses can work on initiatives including designing the Firm’s websites, maintaining the Windows plant, and building a client reporting delivery system.
Qualifications/Skills/Reqs
- You are in your last year of study for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- Majors in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, information technology, or other relevant technical fields are preferred.
- You’ve worked with at least one programming language, such as Java, C++, or C#, and you’re familiar with databases.
- You’re familiar with operating systems (Windows and Unix).
- You have strong problem-solving abilities, object-oriented programming expertise, a solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and complexity theory, and strong database and scripting abilities.
- You thrive in problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and analysis.
- You have a good command of the English language.
Duration
Summer Analysts are hired for a two-month period in May each year. Summer Analysts are assigned to one of two teams: development or infrastructure. Both are meant to provide real-world, project-based experience that will illustrate firsthand what it’s like to work as a techie for a world-class financial institution.
