Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with economists and fixed income research strategists worldwide to develop and manage analytics that are utilized to produce insights for research publications.
  2. Gain knowledge of fixed income markets so that you can use data analytics to generate trade ideas.
  3. To find trends and patterns influencing investment ideas, perform statistical analysis, develop new mathematical models, and build code.
  4. Create quantitative models with econometrics and machine learning techniques to assist in producing insights for Morgan Stanley clients and Research Reports.
  5. Create analytics for corporate credit markets, municipal bonds, interest rate strategy, foreign exchange strategy, and structured finance products.
  6. Simplify and improve current models for economists and fixed income research strategists worldwide in order to create and manage data analysis infrastructures.

Qualifications/Skills/Reqs

  • A master’s degree or above in a quantitative discipline, such as statistics, data science, engineering, economics, physics, or financial mathematics.
  • Proficiency in statistical model construction, sampling, data processing, model design/specification, and modeling best practices and procedures.
  • practical knowledge of any programming language, including Python, C++, Q, Perl, and JavaScript.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and vocal communication abilities.
  • sincere curiosity and comprehension of financial markets.
  • Analytical, perceptive, fast to pick things up, cooperative, cheerful, and capable of multitasking.

Interview process: Shortlisted students from online test will be required to be available for virtual interview/ Physical interview with Morgan Stanley. Students will be further shortlisted based on personal rounds of interview before we make the final offer.
