Headquartered in Bangalore, Licious was launched in September 2015 by Abhay Hanjura and Vivek Gupta who sensed a huge business opportunity in offering prime quality meat products that were otherwise dominated by the unhygienic and unreliable wet market followed by frozen meat options which is an unpopular workaround for Indian consumers. Licious follows an end-to-end business based on the hub and spoke model that starts from procuring fresh produce to processing, storage, and delivery.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Help carry out quality inspections on meat products (mutton and fowl) at different processing stages.
- Keep an eye on adherence to corporate SOPs and food safety regulations.
- Test both raw and finished items physicochemically and organoleptically.
- Assist in keeping accurate records and paperwork in accordance with internal and FSSAI standards.
- Help with the creation of reports on non-conformances and quality deviations.
- Make sure that production and packing facilities follow hygienic and sanitation guidelines.
- Take part in internal inspections and audits.
- Point out areas where quality processes need to be improved and offer solutions.
- Work together on initiatives involving continual improvement with the QA team.
Requirements
- Graduation or Post-graduation in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of food safety standards (FSSAI, HACCP, GMP)
- Familiarity with quality control and testing procedures in the meat industry is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting
