About IIT Bombay
The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB) is one of the country’s fifteen higher institutions of technology, established with the goal of providing higher education, research, and training opportunities in many disciplines of science and technology.
The Joint Entrance Examination – Advanced and Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is used to admit students to IIT Bombay’s 4 year, 5 year, and 2 year programmes. Bachelor of Technology, four-year Bachelor of Science, five-year Master of Science, two- or three-year Master of Technology, and a few more degrees are available. It also provides a comprehensive graduate programme in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics that leads to doctorate degrees. There are now 15 academic departments, 20 centres, a school of excellence, and four multidisciplinary programmes, including a Management Program, within the university.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Using the Three.js library and other relevant technologies, such WebGL and WebXR, to design, develop, and build interactive 3D web applications.
- Improving the rendering and speed of online applications by optimizing 3D assets, such as models, textures, and animations
- Following industry standards and best practices, writing and maintaining excellent, well-structured, and commented code
- Thoroughly testing and debugging Three.js apps to guarantee optimum functionality, responsiveness, and compatibility on a range of devices and platforms
- Supplying technical material to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, such as design documents, user manuals, and API specifications, in order to successfully explain complicated ideas
Requirements
- Solid background in creating Three.js-based interactive 3D online apps and other related technologies like WebGL and WebXR.
- Expert in front-end web technologies including HTML, CSS, and contemporary JavaScript frameworks (like React, Angular, or Vue.js) in addition to being fluent in JavaScript
- Knowledge of version control programs, like Git
- Valuable Skills
- Familiarity with the fundamentals of 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, and animation
- Strong familiarity with CAD programs like Blender and 3D modeling and animation tools.
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a similar discipline.
