About CRY – Child Rights & You
CRY (Child Rights and You) is an Indian non-governmental organisation (NGO) dedicated to ensuring that all children have happier childhoods.
Rippan Kapur, an Indian Airlines purser, founded CRY in 1979 with barely Rs. 50 and six friends. CRY now works with 102 grassroots NGOs in 19 Indian states and has influenced the lives of over three million children over the past four decades.
CRY works with parents, teachers, Anganwadi workers, communities, district and state governments, as well as the children themselves, to meet the critical needs of children. The group works on changing attitudes and practises at the grassroots level, as well as influencing public policy at the systemic level, in order to create an ecosystem in which children are the nation’s top priority.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Working for four hours every day, except on Sunday.
- Managing volunteer programme communications, including mail and texts.
- Taking care of work submissions and reviews.
- Establishing a mechanism for mass certification and assessment.
Location
This is a Work from home internship opportunity.
Duration
The CRY – Child Rights & You Internship will be for a period of 6 weeks.
