Roles & Responsibilities
1. Assess the health of the patient through a detailed conversation and by understanding their concerns
2. Update the doctor on the health concerns of the patient
3. Assist and guide the patient on the usage and dosage of the Basalog Insulin Pen
4. Counsel the patients on diet, exercise and lifestyle changes to treat and control diabetes as guided by the doctor
5. Advise the patients of the tests that they should undergo so that the doctor can get a holistic understanding of the patient’s condition
6. Meet patients within 24 hours of receiving a request to contact
7. Work on timely follow-up with patients to assess patient progress toward the set therapeutic outcomes
8. Work on timely communication of progress to the respective doctor
9. Work on taking doctor and patient consent and proper maintenance of consent forms

Duration
The Biocon internship will be for a period of 6 months.
