The full range of nuclear science, engineering, and allied fields are covered by the vast infrastructure for advanced research and development at BARC, a multidisciplinary research center.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Review the project topic by reading a literature overview to have a basic understanding of it.
- Make use of software tools such as MedeA, VASP, and VESTA in addition to fundamental Linux commands.
- Create and alter crystal structures and get simulation input files (such POSCAR, INCAR, KPOINTS, and POTCAR) ready.
- Run simulations, keep an eye on them, and fix any small problems as they arise.
- Examine outcomes by obtaining band structures, total energies, and pertinent information.
- Make simple graphs and plots to show the results.
- Keep a daily journal of your activities and send in progress reports on a regular basis.
