About Asian Development Bank

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is a regional development bank headquartered in the Ortigas Center in Mandaluyong, Metro Manila, Philippines. It was founded on December 19, 1966. In addition, the corporation operates 31 field offices around the world to promote Asia’s social and economic development.

Non-regional developed countries and members of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP, formerly the Economic Commission for Asia and the Far East or ECAFE) are allowed to join the bank. ADB presently has 68 members, up from 31 when it was founded.

Eligibility

Prior to and after the internship, you must be enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program at a school in one of the ADB member countries.
Participate in scholarly research in a field that is directly connected to ADB’s mission.
Be a citizen of one of ADB’s member countries.
Have a strong knowledge of the English language.
Have relevant professional experience for the work.
