About the Internship
The Transportation Team is looking for a passionate software programmer analyst who will be responsible for collaborating with transportation technology teams to integrate new carriers and ship methods into the network, as well as working with business and operations to gather ship carrier requirements. You must design, produce, and maintain transportation documentation such as shipment labels, carrier electronic manifests, and invoices as part of the integration. You’ll also be working on Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects, updating/enhancing our present software, automating manual configuration procedures, and documenting our systems alongside development.
Detail-oriented, with outstanding verbal and written communication skills, good organisational abilities, the ability to juggle many projects at once, the ability to work autonomously, and the ability to retain professionalism under pressure, the perfect candidate. You must be able to predict issues and execute solutions that detect and prevent outages before they occur. You must be able to prioritise projects properly, make smart decisions, work to improve the customer experience, and complete tasks on time.
Qualifications
- Overall development/technical support experience of 0-3 years.
- Strong C++ and/or Java object-oriented programming skills.
- Understanding of the UNIX/Linux operating system is required.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and pinpoint the source of problems.
- Demonstrates operational excellence ability and enthusiasm.
- Ability to document.
