About Agriculture Skill Council Of India
A section 8 not-for-profit organization, the Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI) functions under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). By filling in knowledge gaps and improving the abilities of farmers, wage workers, independent contractors, and extension agents involved in both organized and unorganized sectors of agriculture and related industries, ASCI strives to increase the building’s capacity.
Through the development of agricultural skills, ASCI is promoting nation-building. This is particularly important in light of the country’s stagnant agricultural growth, the exodus of skilled laborers to other industries, the changing climate and its impact on production parameters, and changes in international agriculture markets that pose a threat to Indian agriculture’s competitiveness due to excessive subsidies.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Work on the qualification databases
- Compile pertinent data about the chosen subjects.
- Creation of pertinent standards-related documentation
- Any more standards-related works
